Ballet helps tackle Parkinson's disease

There is new evidence to suggest that Parkinson's sufferers can improve balance and coordination skills, through dance.

There is an an estimated seven to 10 million people worldwide who live with the incurable disease and many drugs, used as a treatment, become less effective the longer patients take them

Research has found that ballet can have significant physical but also emotional benefits for people suffering from Parkinson's disease.

As part of our commitment to the community, BUDS are looking to provide a dance programs in our clubs for people with Parkinson's disease in the new year.
